Time Flies

We have been crazy busy!

I had a little problem with my camera and was having trouble loading the photos. It appears to be remedied, I hope. LOL.

Allie had some cute photos taken of her by Natalie Cass (www.cassstudios.com) and they turned out very nice.

We have continued with our sports, Softball games twice a week and soccer on Sat. for Allie; T-ball weekly for Jaan; And Baseball weekly for Kamran. As well as Acting/Modeling classes for Allie on Saturday, which she is having such a good time with.

Yesterday brought a nice visit from Grandpa Chaudhry early in the afternoon.  As well as a visit from Grandma and Grandpa (my parents). My dad helped Saj work on our old Mustang and they seemed to rather enjoy that. I know the kids sure did.

Basball, Softball, and lots of Imagination!

Allie had another softball game on Wednesday, she played well and had a good time with her teammates. While Jaan and Kamran played with some toys they'd brought along.
Wednesday also brought a bit of excitement as Allie finished up her year end testing. Hoorah!! She gets so stressed about them. We also took Ms. Mercedes (our pomeranian) to get her latest set of shots. She didn't even flinch. Amazing. And then the boys got a trim at "Cookie Cutters" . Their favorite place to have their hair cut (of corse).

Thursday was a very relaxed day Allie sort of slipped into a post-test coma. And the boys thought that sounded great. Grandma and Grandpa (my mom & dad) stopped by and had lunch with the kids. Jaany showed off his fave culinary creation for them. A cheese sandwich that is melted in the microwave. LOL. The kids helped to clean up the porch by washing down the door mat. That led to bathing suits, which led to Allie hooking up sprinklers to the backyard hose and dinner al fresco. Followed by Kamcake's baseball game. He's a really improving his game. And loving every moment of it. We capped off the day by watching "Fern Gully".

Today, Allie got a new hair extension, blue. It's very cute. It just peeks out every now and again. Not so much to drive mama crazy, and just enough to make Al happy. A perfect compromise. Daddy ought to be very surprised when he gets home. Which, by the way, may not be as soon as was originally planned. :-(

This afternoon, Jaan and Kamran decided to have a birthday party for one of their stuffed animals. Several other stuffed friends showed up for the festivities. Because we didn't have any confetti on hand Kamran cut some grass for the party, which was held in the driveway. And now they've moved into the backyard with their friends, Chloe and Olivia, and have turned the swings into a mock jungle so that they can go on a safari.

Enjoy.

Busy busy busy

So, Monday night brought softball. Allie was able to play two "innings" and we had to leave as she was not feeling well. She has a nasty little cough. She's doing much better, though still coughing. She's also been doing her year end testing over at the elementary school. She feels very confident as we've had ample time to cover all areas that were tested in depth.
Last night was T-ball for Jaan he's such a funny guy. He had a great time. I think he challenges his coach with his aggressive personality. The coaches own son is very quiet. However, Jaan had a discussion with one of the players on his team, and they've decided that they're going to be friends. They were just adorable about the whole thing. After their discussion, they came to me and the other boys mom and let us know what had been decided. It was really cute.
This morning Kamran has been working on making musical instruments out of paper, so far we have a guitar (2D) and some drums. I think we'll have a few drums as they're easier for him to make by himself, which of corse is how Kamran likes to do everything. Mr. Independent.

Museum of Natural History

Friday afternoon the kids and I went to Lehi (about 20 minutes away) to go to the Museum of Natural History.  The kids had a blast!! We spent about 3 hours in the Museum and then we wandered through the gardens (they were just finishing their annual tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point) where we found some great benches to have snacks. And finished up with ice cream cones for the kids at the ice cream shop there.

Saj also came home Friday night just before the kids went off to bed. They were so excited to see him. As was I. It was bittersweet however, as Saj was off again Saturday morning for a weeklong venture. He'll be home on Mother's Day. Not a bad present eh?

Play ball...

Wow, what a busy week this has been. Jaan had a t-ball game on Tuesday night. It was more than unseasonably cold, it was freezing. Allie had a softball game on Wednesday, it was quite warm that day. And Kamran had a baseball game last night. Afterward the boys played a little tennis and Allie and I played badminton. We all had a great time.

Wednesday was also Sajid's birthday. The kids and I had a good time sending birthday wishes from breakfast in bed to strawberry shortcake at bedtime. Happy Birthday, Baby!!

Today the kids and I are off to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point. That should be a lot of fun.  See you soon, thanks for stopping by.
